The AARP Driver Safety Classes will be offered in the Spring of 2020 in Henderson, KY.
Pick one of two classes (you do not have to attend both days).
Attendees can choose from Thursday, Apil 16, 2020, or Thursday, May 21, 2020 (click the link to register). Both classes are the same; you can choose what best works for your schedule.
Both classes will start promptly at 9 am and end at 1 pm. The class is a four-hour course, and we take a break every hour with a 30-minute lunch break at noon. This class will be held at the Henderson County Cooperative Extension Service, 3099 Zion Rd, Henderson KY.
The Instructor will be Nibby Priest, who is an AARP certified Driver Safety Instructor.
Participants will learn the current rules of the road, defensive driving techniques, and how to operate a vehicle more safely in today’s increasingly challenging driving environment. You’ll learn adjustments to accommodate frequent age-related changes in vision, hearing, and reaction time. Pre-registration is required.
Kentucky auto insurance companies are required to offer a discount to those drivers 55 and above who complete this course. The discount is applied for five years. The class costs will be a charge of $20 for non-AARP members and $15 for AARP members.
You must attend all 4 hours of class to get a certificate of completion. Payment accepted at the start of each course. There are no refunds.
