This is a very common question that our agency is often asked. We will try to explain our position.
Would it be beneficial in terms of premium savings to have our teenage driver enroll in the local driving school?
You will not recoup the amount of the class tuition in discounts the first year for taking driver’s training. However, you will keep this discount for several years, so the savings over time will accumulate.
With that being said. We have seen statistics showing that young drivers that have been through a driver’s training school are less likely to have auto accidents. So, if you can decrease their probability of having an accident and you having to pay a deductible, you come out ahead having your teenage child take driver’s training. More important than discounts and deductibles is the safety and welfare of your child and those that may be riding with them. If the class will keep them safe, it is priceless.
We understand that some students have a school work load that doesn’t allow them much extra time for taking a driver training course. If it becomes an issue with time and your teenage driver needs to spend more time on school work, you both will have to decide if there is enough time for the driver training course. With safety and education in mind, we hope you can find the time for both.
In Henderson KY we recommend Pascal Bensons Driving School.
